NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS REKINDLE FALSE HOPES FOR A BETTER YEAR.Jan.02,2011
I don't know about you'all, but this year is going to be totally different for me. I'm going to get organized. I just bought a stack of new plastic containers from Costco
Happy New Year everyone! Here's to kicking off another year, soon to be filled with broken promises and unaccomplished goals. I just got back from Costco with a brand-new stack of plastic containers to tackle my tragically disorganized life.

THIS JUST IN... I'M FAMOUS... MARK DELANEY IS TOTALLY FAMOUS! Dec.26,2010
I was on my website editing homepage poking around, still trying to get the hang of this whole website thing, when I stumbled across a chart listing the links that steer web-surfers to this website. One of them was from the Bluegrass Blog. It's like they have a blog for Everything! Really. Go on Google and type in any word you want, it doesn't even have to be a noun or anything like that, and then type the word "Blog" next to it. It's amazing what people can think about when they're sitting all alone with access to a computer. I'm just so incredibly thankful I quit drinking before I ever got my first computer.
Anyway, I clicked on the link to the site that has a link somewhere back to this one. I came across the article below and freaked out. So here it is. I'm finally famous. I thought it would make me feel different and change me the way it does with some people who became famous but it hasn't at all. I still feel the same.
This is it, right here below.

Wayne Taylor has announced that Mark Delaney will be the new banjo player in Appaloosa, starting in February 2011. He takes the spot recently vacated by Lee Marcus, who has left the group to attend college.
Mark has worked recently with Darren Beachley & Legends of the Potomac, until Darren disbanded the group a few weeks ago. Prior to his time with Beachley, he had been a member of Randy Waller & The Country Gentlemen.
Delaney also has a solo banjo project, Sidecar, released on Patuxent in 2008. In addition to banjos and bluegrass, Mark has a passion for BMW motorcycles, which he services in his shop.
Wayne tells us that his former Country Current bandmate Keith Arneson will fill in on banjo when Appaloosa travels to California in January, but that Mark will be with them starting with a show in Palatka, FL on February 17. You can see their full schedule online.
AFTER SIGNING HISTORIC PEACE TREATY, APPALOOSA PRIME MINISTER WAYNE TAYLOR DECLARES DELANEYVILLE TERRITORY AS 51ST STATE! DEC.22, 2010
"We worked very hard for this." Taylor said during today's press conference."We knew we had congressional support but the senate was dead opposed to this treaty. We're just happy we squeezed out the 61 votes needed to pass this so we can go home for the holidays with a clear conscience."
Field Governor Mark Delaney, grandson of rebellion leader Clayton Delaney expressed gratitude during an interview this morning. "On behauf of aull zee people ouv my countree I hisspress hoppeeniss ond egstend an arm mahde intyrolee out uf olive branshes. Leeevs, olives, ze whole thing toward ze people of Appaluza and my dear fren mr. Tayloor."
Senate Majority Leader Dan Stanbran expressed his objection during a luncheon sponsored by the organization Delaney-Totally-Sux. "This is a shamefully sad day for Appalossien's. We can't afford this right now. Not with Christmas bonuses in the mail"
D.T.S. founder, Dwane Pipe, stated,"Now what do we do? What are we supposed to do with all of our propaganda? Signs, pamphlets, t-shirts, who's gonna want this stuff. I'm not talking a van full, I'm talking two freaking storage units full of this crap. Our organization has completely lost it's purpose." House Minority Leader Robert Bobbart was unavailable for comment.
THE DEMISE OF THE LEGENDS OF THE POTOMAC! NUMBER OF CASUALTIES STILL UNKNOWN! DEC.11,2010
Some recent events have happened in Delaneyville. Tuesday evening I was informed that the band I'm a proud member of, Legends Of The Potomac, was closed for business....Down for the count....Seeya, bye....I have been presented a challenge. Or as some friends of mine would say, "An opportunity for growth." Not with regard to the fate of my musical career. No Sir! As long as I am alive, I will do my best to entertain the wonderful folks who live in our small town called Bluegrass. My challenge is this....
How can I update you'all on the current situation with "Legends of the Potomac?" Since I can't do it from the band's website I'll try to do it here and hope that all who are interested will find it. Your patronage and support does not go unappreciated. A band is nothing without the support of fans and friends.
In the sections below I will try and keep you'all up to date on the whereabouts of the other Legends and the plans they have for all future and current musical mischief.
On behalf of The Legends Of The Potomac, we want to let everyone know how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to perform for and meet all of the wonderful people who have followed, supported and helped nurture the early growth of our band. So from all Five members of Legends Of the Potomac.....
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for coming to the shows. Thank you to those of you who've purchased a cd or two.
You're the Best!
Stay tuned.. The Legends aren't dead. Not yet anyway.
